Upcoming Events
**We are meeting at
a new time**
Social at 9:15, Board meeting immediately preceding at 8:30.
Meeting begins at 9:30. Program starts about 10:45.
Our next meeting will be Deceember 2. Bring
a covered dish for our holiday luncheon. Also, bring a Christmas
fat quarter if you'd like to participate in our fat quarter
drawing to win the whole lot of them. There will be other
prizes, along with the drawing for our 2008 Opportunity quilt.
Donations of unwrapped gifts may be bought for the SAFEHOME
Christmas Store. Look on page 10 of the November
Newsletter to see a list of requested items.
January, 2009- Member Trunk Show, featuring
Trisch Price, Elaine Elliott and Carmen Rinehart. They will
share their quilts and their personal journeys and experiences
in quilting.
February, 2009- Charity Quilts
March, 2009- Pacific Patchwork designer, Paula
Stoddard, specializing in traditional pattersn with a twist.
Her books and patterns have everything from piecing, applique,
stitchery, punch needle and wool projects... Something for
everyone.
April, 2009- Caroilne Peterson Searls, Bella
Vista, AR, has taken judging classes from NQA and has been
judging quilts for 30 years. Her lecture, "Blue Ribbon
Quilts, Here We Come!" demonstrates how a judge sees
and chooses the prize quilts.
May, 2009- Talent Stations- Back by popular
demand... Members will demonstrate quilting tips & tricks.
If there is something specific you would like to see demonstrated,
let the members of the program committee know.
June, 2009- Joan Shay of Petal Play will present
a Trunk Show and Workshop of the Hydrangea pattern. Whether
you are a beginning quilter or an expert in applique, Joan's
3-D Appli-bond technique will allow you to add exciting realistic
applique to your quilts. Reserve your spot in this workshop
now by signing up in the Program Notebook vailable at meetings.
